you were a pro hero and were attacked by a villain. they had attacked you at the end of your shift when you were walking home with your partner.they came out of nowhere stabbed you 3 times (you defected 2 other out of instinct) than they used there gun and shot your partner once in the chest and you once in the stomach when you got in the way. you grabbed the gun and the knife and wrestled the weapons away.they fled some people and called the cops you collapsed and blacked out.
