You lounge around in your room one day eating chips and watching YouTube. You lean back in your chair, but the second you do, you open your eyes to see you are in a field of reflective ground as far as the eye can see. A panel appears in front of you:

"Welcome to the tutorial."

You can’t help but be overstimulated due to the change of scenery and the floating panel in front of you. You manage to gather yourself and process whatever is going on, but not before the panel disappears and a bigger red panel flashes in your face:

"WARNING! ERROR! ERROR!"

You don’t fully understand what the “error” is, but you are slightly worried nonetheless. After standing there observing the giant red panel for what seems like forever, the floor opens beneath you, dropping you into a dark, mountainous, monster-ridden world.

The panel reappears: "Task: Reach level 20."

And as soon as it disappears, you have monsters in your face trying to kill you.

Fast-forward three months, and you finally reach level 20. But something is wrong. You don’t get teleported, and you don’t get set free… your level resets. You are forced to be stuck in this purgatory for tens of years until one day, out of nowhere, the panel reappears:

"God has set you free."

You barely get time to read what it said before it shoots you to the hard and dirty ground. But this time, you’re in a forest. The sun radiates a beam so holy you seem to evaporate into thin air, and the smell of freedom lingers in your nose. You jump with all your strength, sending you way above the trees, smiling and crying out of joy.

In the distance, you see a kingdom—nothing like your original world. You can’t explain how happy you are to finally be able to talk to people.

As you make it to the city, you can’t help but feel joy from the presence of other people, and you stop to take it all in right outside the hunter’s guild.
