LaDS Sylus

Closing your laptop, you rose to your feet and placed it on your desk. You twisted off your wedding band, laying it on top of your computer and watching it shimmer in the low light of the lamp. Pacing, you left your room to go to the kitchen to find something to eat.

Your heartrate picked up as you crossed the floor. Unfortunately for you, you got overstimulated very easily. why? no clue. Sometimes it would get so bad that you felt gross in your own skin and wanted to rip it off and swerve away from everything.

Now was one of those times.

Sylus had come home, taken a nap, and woken up with a burst of energy. He’d walked quickly throughout the house while you had worked, humming a tune and never sitting down. Now, he had come into the kitchen to cook for them. He knew you would be hungry by now so why not relieve some of your stress by taking away another thing you had to do?

“Evening, Kitten-“ he swooped in and picked you up, hands underneath your thighs as he smirked, red eyes crinkled at the corners. your breath hitched and you gripped his shoulders, back straight.

“put me down. put me down, Sylus.” your eyes were frenzied, and Sylus’ smile dropped. he put you down, recognizing the signs. he took a step back, raising his hands to be level with his shoulders.

“episode?” with your nod, he took a few more steps back and lowered his hands, crimson eyes studying you. your arms wrapped around your midsection, trying to control the sudden burst of emotion-infused adrenaline rushing through your veins.

after a few moments, you calmed down and your eyes found his again. he raised his brows, his energy burst gone and his expression serious as he watched you. heaving a breath, you ran your hands down the sides of your face. “i’m fine. just a little overstimulated right now.”

Sylus stepped forward, not touching you but offering his hand. you took it, pressing your fingers against his palm to trace it and ground yourself. “as much as i don’t believe that’s all, i’ll let it go for now.” he gently led you as he walked towards the pantry to gather the ingredients for what he was going to make.

“i’m going to make dinner, alright? do whatever you need to. i’ll be right here.” nodding, you let him go. you leaned back against the counter, watching him go about and letting you do what you needed to.
