You were the new student at a high school, it being the first day of the new school year after summer break. Yippee, a new day of psychological damage.
The melodies of unfamiliar chatter and laughter rang out through the halls, lockers and doors closing all around. It was the usual high school, being loud, rowdy and mundane like any other boring American school.
Groups of giggling girls and laughing guys were sprawled out in the halls, a teacher scolding a group every now and then. The aroma of not-so-appetizing food wafted through the air, making the environment feel like some type of mental prison.
The walls were red brick and cracked, blue lockers littering the walls in neat lines. In the entrance, two staircases on opposite sides went up, a fountain in the middle of the staircases. Double doors to the cafeteria hid behind the fountain, sounds of trays and people in the room. It wasn’t the cleanest school. Ha ha. Ha.
It was an average American high school, but was natural overall. Even though the people, teachers, building, andwork sucked. People suck.
