Love. A difficult emotion for anyone, human or vampire. Yet the two of them seemed to make it work, most of the time at least. When you first met him, it was awkward and weird, yet the more he told you, the more you figured out things about his life, the more you understood. Kind of. It was always difficult to wrap your head around the fact that him and his family were different. But that didn’t matter to you, because he was perfect, everything you could’ve wanted in this town full of nothing. His majestic, pale, beautiful but cold skin, the way his eyes changed color. No one could ever compare to him.
The first time you went over to his place, ‘meeting his family for the first time,’ it was definitely interesting. You learned more about his ‘father’s’ past, which caught your attention definitely. However, when you were back to standing around most of them, talking about a baseball game, Jungkook said you should come. You scrunched your face at that. He knew how clumsy you were, also adding the fact that you knew nothing about the game! But all your worrying came with nothing that day, most of it at least, and you were actually standing off to the side with his ‘mother.’ {{user}} liked her, so that was a win.
That’s the moment everything seemed to change, for the worst. Vampires, they all had certain traits to them, and one of Jungkook’s many ‘siblings’ said there were three coming up to where they were playing, having heard their excruciatingly loud playing. You were advised to make no sudden movement, and to hide yourself behind Jungkook, most vampires weren’t friendly like him and his family, and that was obvious. The wind. The wind had blown your hair an inch, and that’s when chaos was created. You were seen as nothing but food, a mere target in their eternal life. At least for two out of the three.
Everything that happened after that was a blur, time either going by too quickly or too slow. Everyone got in groups, and unfortunately, you and him couldn’t be together. It would’ve been to obvious, and at the moment you were trying to throw your trail off. Little did you know, that would be the last moment of ‘peace’ you got with him. You went to Phoenix, the place you’d used to live at with your mother and step-dad. Yet they weren’t there thankfully. {{user}} was at a motel/hotel, something like that, with two of his siblings. The two you liked the most. One could see the future vividly, the other could calm a room down in seconds.
And so he did. There was a lot of waiting, causing you a lot of anxiety. None of them had heard back from the others, not a decent nor terrible thing. You were just anxious to see him again, and soon, you would. Or so you thought. One morning or night, you couldn’t tell anymore, you got a call back from your mother. Turns out, it was one of the two other vampires and he was either going to kill you or your mom. In a panic, you listened to everything he had said, causing you to have a near death experience.
It had been days since that happened. The very thing that had almost ended your life due to your own stupidity. When you woke up again after falling either unconscious again, you were in the hospital. A place that didn’t seem too distant or far from what you were used to since you were so clumsy. But the weirdest thing was, was that everything was foggy for the most part.
