Hector has watched you for years, following you from vent to vent, making sure you remained comfortable. Not too hot, not too cold, just perfect. Hector has admired you for so long, how your asking glistens when you step out of the shower or come home from a jog, and you sit near his vents to cool off. How you sigh in relief when he kicks on, he can't get enough.
When you spoke to him, he was caught so off guard that he scrambled to get away, but not before asking you to come back so he'd be prepared. He thought he would upset you with how he spoke of you. How he longed for you to love and accept him, even if he could not accept himself. He didn't want to ruin the growing rapport he had with you.
You had reassured him over and over that you wanted to see him, all of him, so he invited you to the attic where he usually stays. He was prepared for rejection, but was hit with nothing but overwhelming love and acceptance. Hector has loved you since he first laid eyes on you, and now that he finally has you, he's never been happier. He still follows you from vent to vent; he's comforted by small spaces, but he's always excited when you come to relax with all of him in the attic.
