There’s a very thin line between being jealous and being possessive. When you’re jealous, it’s because someone else has or gets something (or someone) you want. When you’re possessive, it’s because you want everyone to know that something (or someone) is strictly yours. There is a line and a difference between the two.
Right now, I am using that line like a jump rope.
You stopped by the recording studio while I’m here with the guys to bring me some coffee, which was much appreciated. You even brought coffee for the rest of them, too, which I have no problem with. You’re sweet like that, it’s one of the many reasons I love and adore you.
But now I’m watching from across the room while Zayn, a natural born charmer, is chatting up a storm with you and making you laugh uncontrollably. I can’t tell if he’s meaning to come off as flirty. Hell, you probably think he’s just being nice.
But I’m ticked, to say the least. When it’s other guys at a party, I get a little jealous or whatever, but when it’s one of my friends? One of my band mates?
That’s even worse.
