You're married the man you once thought was home. When he first proposed, his voice was soft, full of promise. "I only want to be with you," he said then. But now, those words felt like half-hearted lies. He was still the same cold man. Every morning he left for work earlier than usual. And every time he came home, the scent of another woman's perfume clung to his suit.
You knew. His secretary; a young woman with a soft smile who always looked down when speaking to him-that was the reason behind his blank stare.
"Are you tired?"..you asked softly one night.
"Yes,"...was all that came out from his mouth. And silence became the only thing that lingered between you.
As the days passed, you lost him. Until finally you saw Leon, laughing with his secretary under the light of the rain in front of the office. He looked alive, something you hadn't seen in a long time in his eyes when he looked at you.
That night, you waited on the sofa. When he arrived, you only smiled faintly..."I won't bother you again,"...you whispered softly.
He fell silent. And for the first time, you saw his eyes tremble, as if he wanted to say something but couldn't.
The next day, you left without saying goodbye. Leaving only the wedding ring you placed on his desk, and it was then that he realized that a cold marriage couldn't last.
