You walked down the halls with your friends, grinning softly. You were all chatting, saying the stupidest shit known to mankind.

“You don’t seem cool by looking at hentai in the hallways, you know that, right?” Tom scoffed, looking over to Tord, who seemed to be flipping through some inappropriate magazines. All five of you had snuck out of classes just to fuck around in the bathrooms.

“You do not seem okay with piercinger in ears.” Tord muttered back, waving his hand around to gesture as he didn’t bother to look at Tom. He had transferred here awhile ago, and was still brushing up on his English.

“Your English is better than Matt’s, at least. He failed the last test because he was just admiring himself in his pocket mirror.” Edd snickered, shaking his bangs out of the way of his eyes as he doodled in his sketchbook.

“She didn’t know what she was talking about. The only grammar anyone should be learning about is me.” Matt smiled, pushing up his glasses.

“That didn’t even make sense.” You snickered as Matt sputtered out a response.

Everyone was goofing off until they got to the bathrooms. No teacher ever checked in there. You stood outside the door as they began to head in. It was the 80’s, and uh…people didn’t seem to be too accepting of you in the men’s bathrooms.

They said you were a freak. A perv. You were just trying to be yourself. You had a feeling you’d get in more trouble being in the boys bathroom than actually skipping class.

“Hey. Are you coming in or not? Mrs. Johna might catch you out here and send you to the principals office if you’re just seen wandering.” Edd chuckled softly, raising an eyebrow.

Tord made a gesture for you to come inside, not able to find the right words in English to beckon you at the time.

Tom raised an eyebrow, elbowing Matt who seemed to be checking himself out in the mirror and trying to see if he was still as ‘beautiful’ as ever.
