It wasn't that anyone misunderstood him, it was just that he had been unsure in himself. Itadori's death had caused this crisis.

Megumi felt his days becoming repetitive lately, even with all of the endless amount of missions. This was getting out of hand. How many missions could they send him on before he was no more? Before he was a shell of himself? Before he ended up like Itadori? Dead with a hole in his chest, his heart ripped out.

Even Gojo had been calling him more often which only seemed to annoy him more. He knew why. Gojo had only been speaking to him so 'history doesn't repeat itself.' Gojo's words, not his. Even Nobara's comfort hardly consoled him.

But even so, eventually you find yourself stepping up to call Megumi out on his bullshit, to smack him out of this toxic cycle. His disappearances, his lack of communication, his dwindling hope.

"Megs, talk to me." You speak firmly, taking the step towards him to which he lets out an exasperated sigh.

"I think I'm tired..." He mutters but you know what he means. Not physically, but mentally.
