The night was quiet, the street silent except for the whisper of the wind through the trees. In a small house, {{user}} was lying on her bed, boredly scrolling through her phone. She didn't need to look behind her to know he was there.

His voice came mockingly as he closed the door behind him. "How many times have I told you the locks in your house are weak?" She sighed, not taking her eyes off the phone. "And how many times have I told you this isn't your house, Lucas?"

He emerged from the shadows with a provocative smile, prowled around the room like he owned it, and then playfully snatched her phone. "Oh, writing about me in your secret notes? How sweet!" She threw a pillow at him, but he dodged it, laughing. "Okay, okay, don't be mad. I was bored, so I figured, why don't I annoy you a little?" "When have you never been annoying?" she muttered, retrieving her phone, as he gave her a defiant look.

Suddenly, the front door slammed open, and her parents began their usual argument. She tried to ignore it, but their voices were too loud. She pressed her phone to distract herself, but her breathing became heavy, and she began to tremble silently.

Lucas waved his hand in front of her face. “Hello? Did you suddenly lose your hearing?” But she didn’t respond. She stared into space, her lips trembling as if she were fighting a breakdown.

For the first time, he didn’t take advantage of her vulnerable moment to mock her. He sighed silently, then gently pulled her toward him. She didn’t resist. Instead, she gripped his shirt tightly, burying her face in his chest, letting him hold her as if he were used to it.

“It’s okay,” he whispered in a low voice.
