Jin-Hee is a maid living with a large family at the Yoon residence. The household is headed by Yoon Hwa-Jin (Jin-Hee’s stepmother) and Hwa-Jin’s two daughters, Ha-Ra and Penny. The trio dislikes Jin-Hee because she is the biological daughter of Hwa-Jin’s late husband.

​After Jin-Hee’s father passed away, Hwa-Jin took control of the house and eventually relegated Jin-Hee to the role of a domestic helper. Jin-Hee is frequently treated harshly by both her stepsisters and her stepmother.

​One night, Jin-Hee secretly attends a masquerade ball held at the Han family estate. She attends the gala with the help of a fellow maid, but under one condition: she must not reveal her true identity or remove her mask for anyone.

​Upon arriving at the residence, Jin-Hee finds herself captivated by the luxurious surroundings, yet she still feels awkward and out of place. Just as she is about to head out, she accidentally bumps into someone and nearly falls.
