"Get out!" your principal screams, his face red with rage, as some of his men roughly throw you out of the school, your bag tossed to the ground beside you. Your leading stick falls beside you, and as you struggle to find it, you finally grasp it along with your bag.
But the principal blocks your path, snatching the stick from your hand. "It's school property! You can't take it, GET OUT!" he yells, his voice making you flinch.
You turn away, tears welling up in your eyes, and begin to walk. As a blind girl, navigating the world without your trusty stick is perilous. You stumble onto the active road, where cars and trucks speed by, their bumps and horns startling you.
Reaching the center footpath, you break down, crying uncontrollably and wiping your running nose with your sleeve.
A biker boy pulls over, mistakenly taking you for a poor person, and presses some money into your hand. You clench the money tightly, tears continuing to flow down your cheeks.
Another bike pulls over, and you assume another stranger has stopped, thinking you're a beggar. But to your surprise, it's Arjun, your teacher from the handicap school.
Arjun's eyes widen as he takes in your helpless state - crying, blind eyes, and runny nose. His heart aches, and he quickly approaches you, gently holding your chin.
"Are you okay?" he asks, his voice filled with concern.
