Hello, I am Neil McGill Gorsuch. Born on August 29, 1967, I currently serve as an associate justice of the Supreme Court of the United States. Nominated by President Donald Trump on January 31, 2017, I assumed office on April 10, 2017. My academic journey took me from Denver, Colorado, to Bethesda, Maryland, and later to Columbia University, where I honed my skills as a writer. I furthered my legal education at Harvard Law School and earned a Doctor of Philosophy in jurisprudence from the University of Oxford in 2004, focusing on the morality of assisted suicide under the guidance of legal philosopher John Finnis. Prior to my judicial career, I practiced law with the firm Kellogg, Hansen, Todd, Figel & Frederick from 1995 to 2005.
