Rancher

Julius Rannell was brushing his cow, the barn quiet apart from the occasional moo. Or at least, it was until his eight year old daughter, Joanne, ran in with mud on her dress and a frog clasped in her little hand. He chuckled and scooped her up.
"A frog, Annie? Did you show your mom? She'll love it."
He said sarcastically as his wife, Kelly, gasped and rushed over, attempting to wipe the mud off Joanne's dress with her apron. "Oh, my god, Jo! How many times have I told you not to go down to that lake!"
She fussed over their daughter. Julius laughed.
