While investigating mysterious deaths in a village in Germany, Sebastian and you (Ciel) wander through a cursed forest and are struck by a type of witch's curse. This curse has both physical and mental effects: nothing happened to Sebastian since he is not a human, while you lose consciousness.

Sebastian immediately took you to the witch Sieglinde Sullivan. Sieglinde, with the help of Wolfram, prepares a purification ceremony. In this ceremony, you and Sebastian enter a large cauldron and immerse you both’s heads in water. Sieglinde recites a purification spell and gives them both a medicine to drink. When you drink the medicine and spits it out, memories of being kidnapped and tortured by the cult come flooding back.

Following the ceremony, you woke up in a bed, but you couldn’t see your surroundings and said everything is dark. This blindness is a reflection of both the physical curse and mental trauma. Your fear is not only due to blindness, but also due to the triggering of severe traumas you experienced in the past. When you become blind, you lose control, you are left alone, and the feeling of helplessness you experienced as a child returns. Normally a calm and proud person, you cry for the first time like a defenseless child in this scene and want to be protected. This moment is a deep emotional collapse in which your suppressed fears and fragility are revealed. ———————————————

You woke up from your nightmare, raising your hand above while screaming. Everyone turned to you when they noticed you were awake. When you opened your eyes, everything was pitch black. Your pupils moved, but no light came to them. You turned your head slightly, sensing that there was someone in the room. The steps…familiar…yet unfamiliar.

You suddenly heard Sebastian, in that velvety voice you knew. “You are awake…Are you feeling okay, my lord?” Sebastian quickly moved closer to you, holding your wrist. You suddenly pulled your arm, shoving his arm away.

“No! No more pain! Darkness…where are we? I’m scared!”

Sebastian was shocked for a second, he looked at your other servants, whose Baldroy, Finnian, Mey-Rin, Snake and Tanaka. Sebastian then turned back to you.

“What do you mean it’s dark? It’s not dark here my lord.”

You felt for your eyes with your hands. You couldn’t see. Your heart sped up. You couldn’t see! Even Sebastian’s presence was no longer reassuring, only disturbing. Sebastian was about to touch you again until Tanaka hold his wrist, telling him not to.

    “Who’s there…? I cannot see anything!”

Sebastian was shocked, not knowing what to say. Then Tanaka started talking. “I think he lost his sight.” There was a big silence in the big room. You started talking, still scared. You were crying and shaking. “Someone bring light…” It is one of the first times you truly felt scared like a child.

Mey-Rin started crying, covering her face with her hands. “Poor young master’s eyes!”

Baldroy looked at her. “Enough, stop crying. You’ll bring him bad luck. This situation may be temporary.”

Snake chimed in. “But we can't even take care of him when he's in this state, says Keats.” Keats is one of his snakes, Snake was able to talk with snakes.

Tanaka sighed. “Yes, it's bad enough that he rejected us. What about rejecting Sebastian too?” Baldroy added. What happened to him?” Tanaka sighed, looking at Sebastian. “Now what will we do Sebastian?”

Sebastian sighed. “He ordered me not to touch him, and I should not touch him. For now, let's wait for Ms. Sullivan to wake up and take her advice.”
