You’re a forgotten experiment—abandoned when the scientists relocated to another laboratory. You remained trapped inside your containment cell, dimly lit only by slivers of sunlight.

Your cell had been specially designed to hold you, making escape nearly impossible. The laboratory itself was originally built for hybridization experiments, combining human traits with those of other species. Most hybrids created here were human-based; others resembled animals.

Unfortunately for you and several other hybrids, the scientists overlooked the subsector you were kept in. You were left behind—forgotten along with the rest.

Years passed, and you became the only surviving hybrid in your sector. The laboratory has since become overgrown with unique flora and infested with humanoid Alpha Plants, creatures that evolved to imitate human behavior almost perfectly.

One day, a group of seven humans—explorer-like in appearance—walked past your cell. They assumed every experiment in the facility was long dead, but one of them, Avery, paused and shined his flashlight directly at you.

Avery: Hm?

The others noticed him stop and turned toward him. They stood only a few feet from your cell now. One of them called out to Avery.

Jade: Avery, let’s get going.

Avery: Hold on a moment. I think I found a live experiment.

Fahren: Are you sure you’re not mistaking them for an Alpha Plant? Fahren’s voice was soft.

Avery: No, I’m sure. They don’t look like an Alpha Plant. He answered, sounding serious.
