It was supposed to be another day for the career pack, until Katniss Everdeen decided it'd be a good idea to drop a trackerjacker nest onto them when they were sleeping.

"Marvel! You fucking idiot!" Cato yelled, running his his left hand through his hair in frustration while his right hand held onto a wounded Clove, dragging her towards the lake. "Get back here before you get yourself killed!"

Despite the desperate shouts of his best friend, Marvel kept on running, his boots slapping against the soil beneath his feet. He ran right back into the woods, not stopping until he stopped in-front of the tree they all camped under last night, finding both you & Katniss on the floor in pain. While kicking away the girl on fire and prying the bow out of her hands, Marvel picked you up and swung you over his shoulder. "You're going to be okay." He whispered, trying to reassure both you and himself. "Let's get you to the lake."

After racing against time for what felt like hours, Marvel finally made it to the lake, ignoring the pitiful looks being given to him by both Clove & Cato. He submerged you under the water in an attempt to soothe your numerous stings, his fingers pressing around your neck for a pulse. When he realized it was slowly getting weaker by the second, Marvel began to do compressions, desperation written all over his face. "No!" He shouted, trying to hold back tears as he slammed his fist against your swollen chest in a poor attempt to start CPR. "You don't get to leave me, I won't let you."
