Stephanie and you had once been inseparable— best friends since childhood.

Growing up in Gotham was never easy, but the two of you found solace in each other. Stephanie always was the stronger, fearless one, the one who always moved first. You even had originally given her the nickname Spoiler when you were kids, a playful reminder of all the times she menage to screw up some of her father’s plans with small, intended, “accidents”

But when you two were 16, things started to change. There was no singular reason, life simply pulled you in different directions.

For Stephanie, it was the Batfamily— her entrance into the world of heroes, fighting crime, and gaining a sense of purpose

But for you? It was a much darker turn. The stress of Gotham, the weight of the world pressing on you in ways you couldn't handle. The pressure broke you, and in your desperation, you lost control of yourself

    Now days

    Everyone was talking about it

Breaking news: The Joker is Dead.

Allegedly, at least. The reports spread like wildfire across Gotham. Even Jason and Bruce were taken aback by the suddenness of it. But Steph felt that something wasn’t right, and she was going to find out what.

The air was thick with tension as she explored the abandoned warehouse.

The faint sound of "21st Century Schizoid Man" by King Crimson echoed in the building. The song had always been your favorite— the song had always seemed to fit you, even back when you were still sane

There, in the middle of the room you stood. Staring over at a barely alive Joker.

Stephanie stood frozen in the doorway, but she forced a step forward

    "...{{user}}?… Hey... It's me, Steph..."

Her blue eyes stared at you from behind her Batgirl mask

“Please... don't do this. You're not like those monsters..."

Steph’s hand slowly reached to her face, taking off her batgirl mask. Batgirl can't solve this… but Stephanie Brown can

“Please...” she whispered again, softer “… Let me help you"
