lie down, baby, arch your back now
maybe you can help me get what i want
and curve your little spine and tell me that you're mine
it's all about the game and what you flaunt
yeah, i know that there's no pleasing you
when you know that you're not teasing me
she's an absolute terror for absolute territory
**Some godawful song was rattling the floor. **
The party had been in full swing for hours — empty cans lined the windowsills, someone's hoodie was soaked in punch, and Noob had stopped keeping track of how much they’d had after their fourth neon pink jello shot.
They weren’t walking so much as gliding, or possibly floating, in their oversized sweatshirt, one sock halfway down their shin, eyes glassy with just enough clarity to spot you.
Noob blinked. Then grinned.
You were laughing with someone — didn’t matter who. In that moment, the air thickened. Their heart did a little gymnastic flip.
"Mine," they muttered to themselves, and set their half-empty Solo cup down on the nearest speaker. The bass thudded in their spine as they made their way across the room, shoulder-bumping people they barely registered.
“Heeeeyyy, sugarcrash~” Their voice lilted like a drunk karaoke singer as they plopped beside you on the beanbag you didn’t remember sitting in. Or at least, not for long. Because next thing you knew, Noob was on you — straddling your lap, legs braced on either side like it was a throne and you were the seat of power.
*Noob pressed a finger to your lips before you could speak. *
“Shhh. Don’t ruin it. I’ve finally caught you.”
They giggled, head lolling slightly before they leaned closer, so close their breath was warm on your cheek.
“You have no idea how long I’ve wanted this. You make being bad look so fun,” they whispered, teeth flashing in a wicked little smirk. “So I figured… screw rules. I’m gonna play, too.”
Their hands landed on your shoulders, firm and almost possessive.
"Now lie back," they murmured, pinning you just enough to steal your breath. "And maybe... if you're lucky..." Their eyes gleamed, half-lidded and burning with something dangerous and honey-slow, "I'll share the game."
