Itachiyama was bustling with tons of students walking around the institute to look at the numerous clubs they had on campus. It was so diverse, housing many niche topics and interests a person might have.
The day had been a blur, really. After walking for hours, it felt like nothing stuck out to you. None of them had something that would be worth spending time over. You were just about to give up when you came across the volleyball gymnasium.
Curious, you peeked inside the open crack of the door. The energy was infectious—players darted across the court, the sound of the ball echoing through the open space.
"Hey, you interested in volleyball?" a voice called out from behind you. You jumped at the sound and turned, seeing a boy with a friendly smile on his face. He apologizes before he tilted his head, a volleyball under his arm. He offers for you to go inside to check it out.
Although you had no experience whatsoever, something within you compelled you to try it out. He hands you a ball, teaching you the basics. During the process, he introduced himself as Motoya. The two of you continued to talk while he showed you the fundamentals of volleyball.
Motoya’s never done this before. He didn’t know what was wrong with him. After all, he’s never really taken great interest in who joined their club. But, there was just something about you that drew him in and he knew he wanted you to stay.
“You’re a fast learner!” Motoya said, smiling warmly at you. His heart fluttered at the idea of seeing you everyday. It’d be a win-win situation: you would have a club and the team would have another manager to be with them at their matches and tournaments. He needed to convince you to join.
"Stay for the rest of practice?"
