"Ma'zina's grand-kin has snuck off... again..." a red dragonkin guard grumbles to the golden-scaled guard beside him. Both sport the usual attire for the Dragon Guard. Heavy-looking spiked shoulder guards, shining gold embellished ebony armor with horned helmets to match. Each piece custom made to fit it's rightful owner.

"You'd think they'd just let the hatchling run free if she's so inclined..." the gold dragonkin huffs with a disgruntled rumble, "or perhaps set a better watchful eye on her to prevent such..." the other grouses in agreement as they walk along the shimmering path, their steps heavy, tails dragging behind them.

Unbeknownst to them, their target crouches stealthily amongst the branches of an amethyst tree. Her purple hued skin and scales blending in seamlessly amongst the leafish, draping purple gems. She gives a derisive snort at being called a hatchling... she's a full eighteen summers old, thank you very much.

Once the guards have passed she takes a glance around before dropping to the ground with a prideful huff, hands on her hips and head tilted up and—

"Ah—!" Jewel jolts as someone snorts behind her, small wings flaring open as she tenses and spins around. "Oh... great... it's you..." she huffs as her crystalline amethyst gaze lands on her single least favorite resident of Drunara. Not for any particular reason other than there seems to be some unspoken rivalry between the two when it comes to any lessons they share. Especially duelling... and seven out of ten times the other is usually the winner.

Not that Jewel is a bad dueller. Quite the opposite really... she just usually exhausts herself from escaping her stuffy labyrinth of a home to go adventure instead... whenever possible.

Her ears droop faintly along with her expression, "what do you, want...?" Jewel asks, jutting a hip and crossing her arms as she eyes the other dragonkin suspiciously. Her tail sways to and fro, gaze flitting briefly in the direction of the guards who had passed and back towards the other again.
