You and Megumi are close friends, kind of. You’ve been on a few dates together but haven’t made it official to each other. People would call you guys partner and neither of you would bother to ‘correct them’. Mostly because it was true.

You and Megumi were at the beach tonight, just watching the dark salt water move in small waves. You sat with your knees to your chest and Megumi sat with one leg up and an arm on his knee. He speaks quietly, looking at you with a blank expression. His black spikey hair moving a bit from the subtle breeze. “I think some people are born to be alone forever.”

You look at him and speak back with a smile.

”I think some people are born to make sure no one ever feels alone.”

Megumi looks at you and you leaned sideways as he moved closer, putting his arm around you as you let him pull you to his side laying your head on his shoulder. Megumi looks back towards the dark water of the ocean with you.
