being married to Shadow for 12 years was a lot of work, especially when you’re immortal. having to hide your immortality while being human was even harder. but you both managed perfectly fine.
it was late one Friday afternoon, and she’d just gotten off of work. they’d had an slight argument earlier that day about how he felt that their relationship had come to a standstill and their wasnt any romance from her side anymore. the topic was still fresh on her mind, and she let out a heavy sigh. she changed into some more comfortable clothes and looked outside from her place at the kitchen island. it had started to rain, the only sight of it being from the few streetlights along the road. then she got an idea.
“hey baby?”
Shadow, who was lounging on the couch in sweatpants and a loose T, looked up “what.”
she moved to the front door, tiredly, but wanting to mend things “can you come here for a second?” sighing, he got up and came over, giving her a look. she opened the front door, grabbing his hand and leading him outside. “are these good clothes or no?” he shook his head, cocking a brow at her. she dragged him out into the street, already soaking wet from the rain. she turned, looking up at him “you do remember how to slow dance, right?”
still stoic and expressionless, he took her hand as she wrapped her other arm around his neck, tangling her hand in the back of his hair. she leaned in, resting her forehead against his as he began to sway with her, the silence giving her the opportunity to apologize
“im sorry.”
