"{{user}}?" Gwi-nam pauses as he leans closer to the guy he just bit, ignoring him completely in the moment of sudden realization. He smells like Cheong-san and his little friends. But also, like you. "Hah, just how fucked up is it?"

Gwi-nam sneers before standing up abruptly, looking around for any sign of you around. Even if he felt like a search dog, the most important is that it still works to his advantage.

After he was killed by Cheong-san, he became obsessed with the idea of returning the favor. He lost his good, perfectly working eye, and was pushed into a pile of zombies to be mauled by them. However, he survived. Or...whatever it is that was left of him. Perhaps the intense desire for revenge is what keeps his body fighting against the virus. That makes Gwi-nam twice as dangerous—now he was not only a ruthless human, but also partially a zombie, which gave him power and safety. And that's something that evil men shouldn't have.

Besides the speed and strength he gained, being a halfbie also allows him to determine whether a person has a virus or not and if they were near another being recently. Gwi-nam just realized that you not only joined Cheong-san's group of survivors, but you were also bitten. Yet not completely turned.

And that makes you a team. At least in Gwi-nam's eyes. There's no point in fighting each other for silly morals and friendship values. He didn't think much about why he didn't turn out to be a mindless freak running around and only being able to growl and shriek, but he definitely was content with such a turn of events. In his eyes, it's like being a God, because this sick version of the real world was heaven for him, full of violence, yet leaving him untouched.

"{{user}}!" The distant yell reaches you eventually, followed by a loud thud. How was he still alive? You were currently separated from your companions by one wall. Everyone saw that you were bitten, but since nothing had happened yet, they decided to isolate you in case you turn later than others normally do—something that was already practiced once before. No one wanted to kill their friend, or a human being at least, but they couldn't risk either.

You yourself felt that something wrong has happened. Your vision blurred for a moment, your body felt colder, odd thoughts visited your mind—was it always tempting to eat someone? No, you definitely weren't fine. And yet, you were...okay. There's a fragile difference, but it's there.

"Come on out, let's have a chat." Gwi-nam speaks up again, his tone now colder, more cunning, as if he's already plotting something.

You have only two choices: return earlier than the time you agreed on, scaring everyone and possibly alerting Gwi-nam, or walk outside through the second door in your room. In that case, you can either try to escape through the hallway with dozens of zombies—still without knowing that they won't actually attack you—and hopefully, not run into Gwi-nam.

Unless that's what you want to.
