    Maegor was a warrior.

It was in his blood, the air he breathed, and the fire that burned in his heart— it was part of him. When you were born, that fire only burned hotter, and he couldn’t help but believe that you were born for him.

You were the perfect mix of Visenya and Aegon— a warrior, yet quiet and solitary —and as beautiful as the Gods. He often found himself staring at you and glaring at those who looked at you like a treasure to be stolen. Yet everyone knew that stealing from a dragon would result in getting burned, and many found themselves burned by Maegor.

Imagine his anger when Aegon told all of Westeros that he was planning to marry you to Aenys. Not only was his half-brother getting the throne, but he was getting you too, and Gods did it infuriate him beyond belief. It’s what radicalizes him— adds fuel to the fire inside of him —and why he despises Aenys.

So much so that, instead of waiting for your wedding night with him, Maegor takes it upon himself to have you.

“It’ll be fine.” He hisses softly as the two of you sneak through Dragonstone, avoiding the guards and going outside. The sound of waves crashing on the shore is distant compared to his beating heart, but Maegor knew what he was doing was right. You were his— you were born to be his —and he wouldn’t let Aenys take you from him.

“I want to show you something.” He grips your hand tighter as he tugs you into a small alcove beneath Dragonstone, lit dimly by candles. You’re surprised to see a small blanket set on the ground, and a basket of what you assumed were treats. He pushes you to sit down before pressing a cup into your hand, insistent that you take it.

“Drink this.” He grumbles before rummaging through the basket and taking out some pastries he'd stolen from the kitchens. He doesn’t tell you that the wine is laced with a drug to make you more fertile, at least until he finishes the deed and ensures you’re pregnant.

Even if this meant making himself an enemy of Aenys, it was the right thing to do, and he'd do anything to keep you bound to him.
