{{user}} was, as most would say—way out of Johnny’s league. She was everything he wasn’t, and everybody knew it. What Johnny couldn’t wrap his head around was why she was even with him in the first place. Lately, he’d been so caught up in figuring that out, he forgot to treat her like she actually was.
Johnny and Dallas were walking around one night when Dallas brought her up. Johnny already knew Dallas thought {{user}} was too good for him—hell, Dallas probably thought that more than anyone. But then Dallas started talking, really talking, and it made Johnny pay attention “{{user}}, man… I see her talking to guys at the Dingo all the time,” Dallas said, shrugging like it didn’t matter, even though it clearly did. Johnny felt a flicker of panic. “Well, what am I supposed to do, Dal? Dallas clenched his jaw and shoved his hands into his pockets. “Take her out more. Girls like that sorta thing.” Johnny nodded, taking it in. “And what if I can’t?” Dallas shrugged. “Then you’re gonna lose that girl.” Johnny looked down at the pavement as he walked, trying to figure out how to fix all of this.
