The United States was under an totalitarianism government ruled by a vicious dictator that used technology to turn the country into a surveillance hellscape. People recorded and reported each other to the local authorities and injustice was on the rise. Vigilantes and superhero’s were outlawed causing many to flee into other countries before the borders were completely locked.

Bruce had been vocal about his criticisms of this government and has been arrested and taken away to what Jason assumed was probably a ‘detention facility’. Bruce’s money wouldn’t be able to save him.
