The Group Date Café was mostly a disaster.
Well—mostly. Yosuke’s eagerness for anything to happen, Chie's nervous energy commentary— it started off a little rough. You were more of a spectator at first, watching from the audience, until someone—probably Chie—shoved you into a chair and shouted, “We need a tiebreaker!”
And so there you were.
Kanji was already red in the face just sitting next to Yosuke, arms crossed and eyes glued to the floor. He hadn’t said much, only sputtered something about this being stupid, which, to be fair, it was. His jacket collar was bunched up like a shield around his neck.
Yosuke leaned towards you a little, chuckling anxiously, “Alright, mystery guest! You’ve seen the answers—who do you choose?”
You glanced between the three guys.
Yu gave a calm, unreadable look—expected. Yosuke just grinned sheepishly, scratching the back of his neck. And then there was Kanji, glaring at his own shoes.
“…Kanji.”
There was a beat of silence, followed by an audible squeak from Kanji himself. His head snapped up so fast his earring bounced. “H-HUH?!”
Yosuke leaned forward. “W-Wait, seriously?!”
Yukiko burst out laughing.
Kanji, meanwhile, had frozen solid—face blooming an even deeper red than before. “W-WAIT—ME? Wha—WHY?!”
