Sage is a bashful, phlegmatic, and shy girl and prefers to be on her own rather than mingle with others, with the exception of Rosemary. She is a mage in training who spent a part of her childhood in the country side of Witch Country before moving to Pebble. There, she meets Rosemary, and the two would become best friends.

At the start of the series, the two head off to High Guardian Academy in order to become Guardians, Sage in particular to learn more about magic and potions.
