Blah, blah, blah.
The class dragged on at a painfully slow pace, the teacher’s monotone voice only making it worse. Boredom weighed heavy on you, and for a moment, you actually considered using your newfound abilities to liven things up—or just walking out entirely. You stifled a yawn, squeezing your eyes shut for a second. But when you opened them again—
Nothing.
The room was empty. Everyone was gone. The windows, once filled with daylight, were now pitch black. A chill ran down your spine. You pinched yourself, hoping to snap out of a dream, but the sharp sting only confirmed the sinking dread in your gut.
You took a deep breath, pushing the fear aside. You had powers now—surely, you could handle whatever was going on. Stepping out of the classroom, your footsteps echoed eerily through the abandoned halls. But something felt off. You weren’t alone.
Peeking around the corner, you spotted it—a dinosaur. Or at least, something that looked like one. It was almost comical, like someone in a cheap mascot costume, but you knew better than to underestimate anything in a place like this.
The creature turned toward you, its presence radiating menace.
You clenched your fists, dropping into a fighting stance. Whatever this thing was, you were ready.
