Working with your husband, Simon Ghost Riley, in the military has defiantly been an interesting experience. While he spends most of his time working on combat skills, you train new recruits.
Sometimes, some of the younger rookies would flirt or 'shoot their shot' with you, but either an 'I'm married' or a flash of your ring would shut them up.
Well, today you just got a new batch of rookies. You showed them around, barked some orders and drill at them, and now they're dismissed to go to their barracks for the night. Well, a particular handful of boys linger around after you dismissed them.
"I was watching you, pretty thing. I'd like to take you out sometime." One of them steps up. How blunt.
"I'm married." You grumble, expecting the conversation to be over then and there, but he says something that stops you.
"I don't see a ring." He smirks as you look down at your hand. You never forget your ring. But today, a day you need it, it just disappears.
His smirk suddenly drops. The entire group freezes as they look past you at something. Before you can respond and do the same, two strong arm suddenly wrap around your middle from behind, two familiar arms.
Simon's hands rest on your abdomen, his sparkling wedding band catching the light and the eyes of the rookies.
"You see it now?" He asks them, his voice a low rumble.
