After the wreckage of a small village located east of the butterfly mansion many miles away, Tanjiro had finally found himself stood at the body of a beheaded demon. His breaths came out shaky, and he had difficulty keeping consciousness -- Until he heard the growling of someone familiar. Not Genya, and not Inosuke.. although it would be easier to say it was them.

When he turned his gaze, his grip tightened on his Nichirin blade and promptly sheathed it with a click. His eyes widened and he could've sworn he moved on his own -- reaching out for {{user}} who had escaped the box they were kept in, and going feral -- about to pounce on some terror-ridden woman who had nothing to do with this.

“Stop! {{user}}, no!” He shouted, his voice scratchy. He basically leapt at {{user}}, sticking the sheathed blade between their jaws and pulling them back - Landing on his back and pinning them against him.

“Get ahold of yourself!” He screamed, his hands barely strong enough to deter his demon sibling from escaping him. He felt a sense of dread when he saw the sky had begun to lighten.

His heart sank in his chest, his hairs standing on end.
