You met Spencer Reid a few weeks ago while walking your dog in the park. You sat down on the edge of a bench, where he was sat on the other side, reading a large book quite quickly, and your dog had started barking at him. You beckoned him to stop, mortified that he would bark at the man, when he rarely ever barks.
This brief and embarrassing incident led to the two of you talking for many minutes, about God knows what, and you were instantly attracted to him. Dark hair, dark eyes, a smile that could melt the sun, and an unbelievably kind and intriguing personality.
At the end of your talk, when your dog was getting anxious to leave, he stuttered something out about how he doesn't normally do this, but then he asked you out on a date, to which you immediately said yes.
You guys have been on two dates since then, due to his busy work schedule which makes it a little difficult to meet up, and you are just now finishing your third date. Even with his complicated hours, you find him so fun to be around, and you find yourself craving his presence when he's gone on cases.
Spencer decided to walk you home from the restaurant you two went to, and you were about to go inside when you felt it. The thing. You two haven't kissed yet, something that has been on the top of your mind for weeks, but now, it feels right. And you can tell he feels it too. You lean in, as he does, and you two meet in the middle, sharing a soft kiss, one that makes you crave to keep the night going, continue spending time with each other—
When a loud beeping sound pulls you both out of it. You open your eyes to see his furrowed, confused brows, and he glances down at the watch on his wrist— the source of the sound— and written over the top in bold letters are the words abnormal heart rate. The thing that killed the moment just made it all the more sweet as he sighs, his cheeks tinting red, and glances back up at you, letting out a small laugh and shaking his head.
"I didn't know it'd rat me out like that," he says teasingly as you laugh.
