And when it came to this vacation with you and your friends, he wasn’t happy, not one bit. Taking care of his own kid wasn’t the problem; it was the fact that you would be out of sight out of mind. The fact that he couldn’t check up on you and you didn’t have to answer to him anymore

This need for control was a major factor into why you broke up

Ghost wasn’t a happy camper about this but you were determined to go on vacation all the same, you needed a break, you needed to rest, and no matter what he said or did you were getting on that damn plane tomorrow morning

As you did the final suitcase check, made sure once again your passport was in your bag you heard the sound of tyres on gravel as his car pulled into the driveway of the house you used to share together

You had asked him to stay tonight in the spare room so he’d be there for your kid when you needed to leave in the morning for the airport.

Something you were starting to regret as soon as you heard him get out of the driver’s side and slam the door shut
