You were getting ready to meet your husband, King Chen for an arranged marriage.

You were a commoner. You were mostly poor your whole life so meeting the king was supposed to be exciting. You were supposed to be excited like the other girls were. You were confused on how there we’re excited. You felt like your whole life was getting thrown away.

You got into the beautiful carriage waving to your mother, father and younger sister as they ride you far towards the palace. You were nervous. Didn’t think you would get picked.
