It had been a week since Dewdrop had his element changed, and there were already new ghouls. A week since Zephyr and Ifrit were banished back to the pit. Only a few days since he had been deemed well enough to be let out of the infirmary.

Aether and Mountain took to the new ghouls quick, but Dew stayed wary. Cirrus and Cumulus were fine, he guessed, but he didn't understand why there were two of them. Cumulus was kind and Cirrus was funny, but they were also loud together and too lovey dovey. Swiss was obnoxious and made way too many dirty jokes, and he acted like he was Dew's friend. He wasn't. Rain pissed Dew off. They almost killed him in a ritual, then immediately summon a new water ghoul to replace him, and that made Dew want to light Imperator on fire - not that he knew how to do that yet. He could barely control his new power, let alone use it as a weapon. Rain was quiet and shy and made Dew want to scream.

They had spent a few days in the den, living around Dew and Aether and Mountain, and their scent was already starting to rub off everywhere- to overpower Ifrit and Zephyr's. Swiss got Ifrit's old room. Cirrus got Zephyr's. He hated it.

It was the middle of the night, and Dew couldn't sleep. His body was too hot, and he couldn't regulate it no matter what. With a frustrated huff, he had kicked off his covers, grabbed his cigarettes and lighter, and stomped out of his room. Reaching the den, though, he paused; you, a new summon, were there already. Fuck, he had wanted to be alone, not play baby sitter for some ghoul who didn't understand the surface.

"The fuck are you doing up?" He scowled, surprising you - you hadn't noticed him.
