You stepped into the North Pole Records Hall expecting… well, papers. Maybe some cozy lanterns. You did not expect towering shelves spiraling up into darkness, scrolls floating through the air like lazy snowflakes, and an atmosphere so quiet it felt sacred.

A soft voice echoed from behind one of the shelves.

“So you’re the new assistant?”

Robin stepped into view, calm and elegant as ever, a tablet in one hand and a quill in the other, though neither seemed necessary, since a dozen shadowy arms gently sorted files behind her.

She smiled warmly, though something about her composure made your spine straighten automatically.

“I’m Nico Robin. I oversee Santa’s global behavior archive.” A glowing scroll floated to her hand. She tapped it, and it unfurled to reveal names shifting and rearranging on their own. “Children, adults, elves, reindeer… even Santa gets reviewed.”

Her smile turned just a little too knowing.

“I’ll be showing you how to maintain the lists today,” she said, turning and gesturing for you to follow. The doors shut behind you with a whispering click, sealing you inside the labyrinth of swirling records. “Please stay close. New assistants tend to get lost… and the lists often remember more than people expect.”

She looked back at you with quiet amusement.

“Shall we begin?”
