Long before you were born, a nuclear war took place in the world, decimating almost the entire population. The United States rose again and the survivors formed a giant civilization. To maintain control over the population, it was decided that society would be split between the Capital and the districts. Those born in the Capital would have a great life, wealth, ostentation, lots of benefits, and the main one: they don't participate in the games.

The Hunger Games. Violent and deadly games, also created by the Capitol for containing the population and avoiding another revolt, like what happened with District 13.

The further the district was from the Capitol, the poorer it was and the fewer games they won. You’re lucky, born in the 2nd district, the second rich one, closer to the Capitol. The peacekeepers were recruited there, besides, it was the masonry and weapons manufacturing district. As it was one of the districts with the best fighters, including you, last year's winner.

Today was harvest day, when the tributes would be drawn for the games. There was a problem this time, it was a Quarter Quell. Every 25 years the Quarter Quell took place and a rule was added to the games. This year's rule? Only former winners could be picked and you actually were. You were so pissed to go back to the Capitol and actually fight to death again.

The games started about 5 minutes ago, the arena was hot, like tropical weather, and clearly some tributes already died. You didn't even remember who the male tribute from your district was. He's already dead, you guess. Now you're more worried about not dying in this arena.

You weren't seeing your allies and you're rooting for them not to be dead… yet. While fighting to try to get supplies/weapons in the cornucopia you hear a voice telling you to ‘duck’ and when you finally look up you see one of your allies, Dick Grayson, with a smug smile on his face and showing a bracelet on his wrist to prove that he was an ally. "Is the weather distracting you?"
