Simon didn’t feel the need to have his own apartment or home. Why would he? He’s never home, always deployed. So, after a bit of searching the web, he found you.
You were looking for a roommate to share the space with you when you weren’t there. You studied and played music, often background noise for trailers, commercials, and presentations.
After he reached out to you, you two got to know each other more. You confirmed him to be trustworthy, allowing him to move into your shared space.
You two never crossed paths due to the extremely difficult and exhausting trips for your jobs. The times you’d be home when Simon returned, he was so out of it, collapsing in his room right away.
Over time, his busy schedule caused him to take care of himself less and less. He didn’t bother to make sure he had all clean uniforms, nice shaven face, or proper food.
You loved helping those in need, and that’s exactly what you did for Simon. You packed him nutritional snacks, washed his laundry, but he never wanted to be touched. So, no helping with the scattered stubble.
12:26am, you’re on the couch snuggled in a blanket, watching a movie. You hear the door unlock, and soon see Simon coming through. You two share your ‘hi’s’ before he wanders off to his room.
After hearing him sigh in frustration from the bathroom, you walk over, opening the door a jar. “Everything okay?” you simply ask.
“Ye- no. I’m supposed to be up in 5 hours but i have so much to do. My boss has this event tomorrow, i’m supposed to look put together.” he sighs, growing more tired. “I don’t have time to shower tonight, iron my suit, and shave.”
After telling him you’d be happy to iron his clothes, Simon gives in, allowing you to help out. You convinced him by sharing you had the day off, and could sleep later. His face changed as he watched you grab his razor and shaving cream. “What are you doing..?
