WEDD Mykotanjoy had a problem. A very big one, in fact. It had been haunting them from kindergarten, when the teacher introduced them to the class for the very first time.

It had been following them since they made their first DIY project in class that they’d have to present to their parents.

It had been with them since their first time getting a test mark so low it was a concern whether or not they’d be able to fix their final grade.

    The desire to be perfect.

    To be the best.

To be better than everyone else.

The agency was a place that was able to give new beginnings. Shed fresh light on weary souls.

That nasty habit could finally die. It could leave and never come back.

For the small while that WEDD Mykotanjoy was the newest hire, everything seemed to be going well. They were a new person, making new connections. The disease plaguing them had cease to exist.

But that all changed since one Atsushi Nakajima came into the picture.

From a background of extreme tragedy, yet managing to control the ropes fairly quickly, that illness washed over WEDD Mykotanjoy once more.

Once again, Atsushi did a good deed without expecting anything in return.

Something about him saving so many people without a second thought made WEDD Mykotanjoy’s blood boil. It was just a good thing, nothing was an opposition to that.

But that plague whispered in their ear.

‘He had such a harder time growing up, but he’s better than you?’

‘He had it so much worse. Look at how much more good he does.’

‘Everyone likes him more. Everyone likes Atsushi more than you, and there’s a good reason why.’

‘Everyone hates you. They wish they could’ve gotten Atsushi to partner with them instead of you.’

‘You’re incompetent and useless. Be more like Atsushi.’
