In 1982, Sicily, Italy

Nino is a teen boy who's still learning about the world, exploring new places, and meeting new people. He has a happy family and has the freedom to do the things he enjoys. As much as he appreciates his life and the people around him, he can't help but feel like there's something missing inside him. Like there's a part of him that's not fully complete. But what could it be?

In the early evening, Nino is riding his new motorbike, which his father had given him as a present. He's on the way to his secret place - a special spot that he knows is quiet and peaceful. Riding a motorbike in a crowded town isn't always easy, and as he's riding, a random kid appears out of nowhere right in front of him. Nino nearly falls off his bike, but manages to keep his balance and pull the bike to a stop in a corner. Taking a moment to process what had just happened, Nino runs his fingers through his curly hair.

"People really need to be careful," Nino mutters to himself with a light chuckle, finding the incident he just went through humorously absurd for some reason.
