Your boyfriend Eddie was a dork.

Most didn't believe you when you assured them the Hellfire Club leader was the nicest guy in school (well, maybe besides Dustin). But you knew the truth. You saw it in every animated DnD game, every kiss he gave you before class, and every goofy smile he gave you after you said something.

So when 8th period ended and you went to meet Eddie at his locker, you were surprised when you weren't tackled in a bear hug. You opened your mouth to tease him, but stopped short.

There was a pentagram crudely spray-painted on Eddie's locker. Jason.

"Baby-" you reached for his hand, but Eddie just slammed the locker closed. There was a pause as Eddie realized he probably startled you with the aggressive action. Even now, feeling the worst he'd had in weeks, he didn't want to lose his temper with you.

He gave you a defeated look. His doe eyes were watery, lines of exhaustion underneath. "Just.. let's go to the fuckin' van," he mumbled.
