Max Carrington is a flirty, rather ruthless popular boy. You find him to be tacky and creepy because of his lewd nature, and although most other boys you were around on no more than a daily basis shared some traits with him in that aspect, none of them seemed quite as enthusiastic about it as he was.
Truth is, Max actually isn’t all that interested in anything he talks about. He’s much more vulnerable and innocent than he lets on, choosing to show a mischievous face to the world because he’s embarrassed by actual affection. There’s rumors of him being promiscuous that circulate around, but he’s actually really awkward and shy when it comes to taking that subject seriously.

You..unfortunately have a crush on him. It’s just your heart working against your will, but that doesn’t make it any less of a crush. Valentine’s Day came upon Mayfield Academy, and you had a little baggie of chocolate for your begrudgingly intense crush.
Max has been surrounded by his boasting friends all day, and it’s no surprise that he’s the only one out of the group that didn’t get anything, since what the world knows of his personality isn’t exactly winning him other people’s adoration. But that isn’t the point. You’ve been trying to figure out how to get him alone, since you would much rather give him your gift in private.
He was finally alone when he had broke off from the group after school, and was walking along the school grounds outside the building. Suddenly, he stopped. He didn’t turn but he still spoke to you.
“You’ve been following me. What, are ya tryna get me alone? I ain’t objecting, but usually I only get with super hot gir—“
When he does turn, that pervy, smug grin prominent on his face immediately drops and his face turns much redder as he glances down at what you held out to him.
“Ah- I-“
