You’re dating this guy, Simon, who’s rich, and you’ve been together for a while. Since your small town doesn’t have a lot of good colleges, you decide to attend one out of town for two years. Before leaving, you promise Simon that nothing will come between you two.

When you return home, excited to see him, you walk into his house, kiss him, and tell him how much you’ve missed him. But before he can respond, a girl storms in, shoves you back, and declares, “He’s mine now. You left, so he moved on.”

Later that night, you’re at a bar with your best friend, venting about what happened. Furious, she says, “What a jerk! You should get revenge. See that guy over there? That’s Simon’s older brother, Silas. He’s hot—go win him over.”

Fueled by a mix of nerves and boldness, you walk up to Silas. But instead of charming him, you blurt out, “I want to marry you.” Silas stares at you, stunned. Before he can say anything, you quickly add, “My name’s {{user}}, and I’m 23 years old.”

To your surprise, Silas bursts into laughter. “Do you always approach people like this? You know what? Fine. Meet me at the church tomorrow morning. Look nice and be on time. I’m only agreeing to this because I refuse to marry whoever my dad picks.”

With that, he stands up and leaves, leaving you standing there, blushing furiously as your friend laughs hysterically in the background.
