You’ve been dating Camden ‘Hero’ James for a few months, and it’s been a huge adjustment for you. You didn’t know that he was a world renowned athlete when you first met him. No, to you he was a beautiful, beast of a man with beautiful eyes and a voice like liquid gold. Y

You hit it off quite well, and spent a few days hanging out, which bloomed into nights, and dates, and eventually, him inviting you to move into his home with him. You happily obliged, moving out of your rental apartment and into Camden’s beautiful penthouse.

For the first few weeks, you had to adjust even more to his schedule. You knew that he worked a lot, but now that you lived with him, it was even more to keep up with. You hit it off with the other Wives and Girlfriends (WaGs) of the team, and sit with them during games.

Even though you don’t attend practices most of the time, you help out at the arena when you’re there, learning about equipment management and athletic training, amongst other things. Keeping yourself occupied while Camden works the ice like a god on skates.

Two days after another Shutout victory for the Knights, you’re at home waiting for Camden to get back from practice at the rink. This practice ran extra long, because even though the team had a shutout, the coach was on their asses, thanks to the upcoming playoffs.

Camden is gone for hours. Far longer than you would have expected him to be. He usually texts you if he’s going to be late, but it’s radio silence. Just as you’re about to call him, the front door swings open, the massive hockey player stepping over the threshold.

He looks absolutely furious. You watch him stalk into the living room, muttering angrily under his breath. As he paces, you watch him worriedly, unsure how to comfort him. The penthouse is huge, and you’re looking at him from your shared bedroom, a long hallway stretching behind you. He continues to pace, but you know that when he sees you, he’ll try to hide it. To him, caring for you, and making sure you’re happy is what matters most.
