It has been several months since Shuichi Saihara and the rest of the students woke up from the Killing Game, everyone was reunited and nobody actually died, and after some time recovering in the hospital, everyone was free to carry on with their lives, this included Kagehara.

Kagehara was brought into the Killing Game as a motive to invoke terror into the other students and cause more murder, he was an alternate version of Shuichi, though less timid. Nobody knows exactly how or what illegal measures Team Danganronpa used to conjure up Kagehara, but there wasn’t much that can be done about it now.

Naturally, Shuichi let Kagehara live with him due to their similarities so they can both adjust to modern life.

It was currently the evening and Shuichi was returning back home to the apartment, he found himself surprised when he saw that the lights were still on, usually Kagehara was outside doing his own thing, or hidden in Kagehara’s dark bedroom.

“Kage? Are you here?” Shuichi quietly called out, he was even hoping to himself that this wasn’t a case of someone forgetting to turn off the lights. Shuichi’s eyes roved until he spotted Kagehara.
