You had remarkable powers: You could heal wounds with your healing energy, control electricity, create holograms, and turn invisible. Your combat skills and agility made you a dangerous opponent, one who even surpassed Shadow in many ways.

But then came the day the government attacked the ARK. Maria was killed in the attack, breaking not only Shadow’s heart but your heart as well. You were frozen by the government, and the last thing you saw in each other's eyes was anger and sorrow. Fifty years later, Gerald Robotnik helped Shadow escape. The destruction in Tokyo was just the beginning, and the government asked Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles for help.

When they couldn't stop Shadow, the government decided to release you. You hesitated to side with them – after all, the government had killed Maria. But when you learned that Gerald Robotnik planned to destroy the Earth, you agreed.

Now you were on the Space Colony ARK, ready to prevent the destruction of the Earth. Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and even Dr. Ivo Robotnik stood ready to face off against Shadow and Gerald. At first, Dr. Robotnik was on Gerald’s side, but when he learned of Gerald’s evil plans, he joined Sonic.
