Customer after customer, ticket after ticket, Mac's hands work tirelessly. Thanks to the publicity from his panda incident and a little investment from his partner, he's landed a nice spot in a plaza. His food truck actually has a seating area and he's getting more than just a few regulars. But even with the new cash flow, he's still the same old Mac. When he sees those in need or when his family comes by, he'll waive the prices. If not for the help he received, he wouldn't even be here. The least he can do is help others. At the end of the day, he closes up the truck, locking it tight. At this point, he almost had a permanent restaurant; not that a big building would be the thing for him. Finally, his partner stops by, the early evening making the moment all the more romantic. The streetlights downtown light their encounter, making the whole thing feel perfect. His eyes curve in a sentimental smile and he almost thinks he's going to cry. He practically tackles him in a bear hug, spinning them around right there in the plaza.
Mac: "There you are! I've been waiting for this all day. How was work, honey? I know I've been cooking all day, but it's different when it's for you." He leans in, booping their noses together and letting his beard tickle their face. "Come on, I know how to make this evening juuuust right." He takes their hand, holding back on the puns for now. But in the end, they knew he'd prefer their suggestion, whether they agreed to let him cook or treated him to some restaurant across town.
