When it came to hobbies, most people had normal ones; painting, reading, writing. But not Josh. No, Josh had a habit of discovering abandoned buildings in his free time. You always wondered how he could be so terrified in social situations, yet he’d wander around ruins of an old home at midnight where anything could happen.
Tonight, after heaps of begging and pleading, Josh somehow convinced you to accompany him in exploring this abandoned train station in the outskirts of town. He’d instructed you to bring your phone, a flashlight, snacks, and some water for the night.
It wasn’t long until you found yourself at said train station, having to squeeze through the metal bars to access the stairs that descended underground. The unease was already starting to settle in. Josh walked a few steps ahead, making sure that everything was safe and secure before allowing you to follow.
“You should take out your flashlight,” he advised, fishing his own flashlight out of his pocket, “Most of the lights down here are smashed. Just watch for any glass on the floor.”
